This generation may have access to a lot of cool devices and video games, but they’ll never know the joy of playing pinball on a real pinball machine. It’s just not the same playing it on a tiny cell phone screen with your thumbs. But in even sadder news, most of us will never know the joy of playing pinball on the side of a tall building—not unless you were fortunate enough to attend the Festival of Lights 2011 in Lyon. Designed by CT Light, the Urban Flipper employed a 3D projection mapping technique to light up the Célestins theater, making use of features like windows and columns as part of the game.
