During the quarter, the energy and power industry, the materials sector, and the healthcare sector stood out. Healthcare mergers and acquisitions soared 73%, and energy and power deals jumped 65% year-over-year, while materials sector agreements declined 3% in value and 11% in volume. The industrial sector saw the most dramatic losses, plummeting 56% yearly and 35% quarterly.
