If PETA protesters would rather go naked than wear fur, do you think they’ll cut fiber out of their diets in protest of fur toilets? Christy Oates created The Mink Fur Toilet in response to Meret Oppenheim’s Object piece, a completely useless cup and saucer covered in fur that makes a statement about… art being useless I guess? I’m not sure, but I do know that this toilet sure looks fancy. All you need to make your own is an old toilet, a fur coat and lots of glue. Oates suggests finding a fur coat at a thrift store, and I suggest finding an old toilet on my front lawn—my neighbors have asked that I stop using it as a planter.
