Robots have become extremely advanced, but they still aren’t affordable to the average consumer. The Turtlebot is built with an iRobot Create and a Microsoft Kinect. It’s capable of navigating your home and recognizing people. That being the case, we can only think of one proper use for The Turtlebot – as a tiny butler. That’s right, slap a bow tie on it, give it a tray full of snacks, and set it loose at your next party. Your guests are sure to be impressed with your new robotic servant. Or you could use it to learn about robotics and create something truly useful, it’s up to you.
