Sriracha Flavored Lollipops

The good people at Lollyphile brought us Sriracha flavored lollipops. Because apparently putting hot sauce on your eggs, noodles, and every other available surface wasn’t enough. Now it gets its own candy stick. Mmm, Sriracha: the magical sauce that makes you look at your breakfast branflakes and think, “Could work.”

Sriracha Lollipops: Sweet Candy With a Spicy Kick

The idea pairs the sweetness of a lollipop with Sriracha-inspired heat. Lollyphile describes these as spicy candy, so this is firmly in hot-sauce-lover territory. Personally, I’m tempted to put some Sriracha on my Sriracha lollipop. I know. At some point somebody needs to take the bottle away.

More Unusual Flavors From Lollyphile

Don’t like Sriracha? You’re dead to me! There are other options. Lollyphile’s flavor lineup has included White Russian, Absinthe, Bourbon, and Habanero Tequila. Yes, I only mentioned the booze-related ones. Why? Because apparently my candy shopping comes with an imaginary cocktail menu.

One useful distinction: those names describe flavors. According to Lollyphile’s FAQ, its alcohol-flavored lollipops contain no alcohol. Bourbon candy won’t double as happy hour, although it does make the office candy jar sound considerably more interesting.

So: Sriracha, candy, and my reputation. Just kidding, I gave up on my rep years ago. At least the spicy sweets know exactly what they’re doing.
