One of the problems in smoke shop wholesalers is that there are relatively few in the USA that sell all you need. This can mean you the retailer having to go to one wholesaler for say, hookah and vape supplies, another for display cases and another for papers and smoking accessories. Could there be another way?

Smoking isn’t Just Tobacco!

Only a few years ago, there was only one legal market for smokable products – good old tobacco! Thanks to widespread legalization of cannabis products across the US and Canada, a well-equipped smoke shop now needs so much more to cater to their customers’ needs.

In a blog, Mike’s Worldwide Supplies smoke shop wholesaler looked at 10 of the best supplies the smoke shop retailer of today needs to have in stock. These include vaporizers, decorative trays, scales and grinders as well as the more traditional things like papers and air fresheners.

You Aren’t Breaking the Law (in most cases!)

Mike’s Worldwide Supplies smoke shop wholesalers is based in Texas, which has some of the toughest cannabis laws in the lower 48. Even though they supply equipment to consume cannabis as well as tobacco, the company isn’t breaking the law in doing so.

Though not all states in the USA have relaxed their laws on cannabis, in most cases it is for the end customer to choose the purpose they use such equipment for. Rolling papers for example can be used to roll loose tobacco, and grinders can be used for breaking up pipe tobacco to smoke in a hand-rolled cigarette.

Where states have still banned all cannabis use, the retailer is not responsible for the end-use of the equipment they sell. That means it is perfectly safe to sell the components and accessories for smoking use.

Cost Benefit of a One-Stop Shop

Imagine the costs of shipping 10 products from 10 different wholesalers. With the likes of UPS and FedEx charging extortionately for delivery these days, the costs of multiple shipments soon mount up and affects your bottom line.

Retailers across the United States have long had a preference to get as many supplies from as few wholesalers as possible. This can mean one large shipment with multiple items for a far lower overall shipping cost, and this ultimately allows you to get greater margins from the items you sell to your end customers.

Given these factors, doesn’t it make good business sense to get all of your supplies from one wholesaler? At the end of the day, you are not a charity (however much you personally may be a part of your community). In reducing logistics costs by going to even one out of state supplier, so your business is more profitable.

Tobacco is Dying – Smoking Remains Strong

With the known ill-effects of tobacco use, you the smoke shop will survive long term by diversifying away from tobacco sales as these plummet. Cannabis has many more proven health benefits, and in having the equipment for your retail customers to buy so you can move away from the old world into the new. Doesn’t it make sense to buy from a smoke shop wholesaler that has already taken such a leap?
