Euro 2024 has produced lots of magical moments so far, with some of the smaller nations having success against the leading nations in the tournament.

Harry Kane

Dutch forward Cody Gakpo is one of four players at the top of the goalscoring charts at Euro 2024 with four goals. The Liverpool player has looked very dangerous in Ronald Koeman’s Dutch team, particularly in their 3-0 victory over Romania in the last 16.
Gakpo will fancy his chances of extending his tally in his side’s quarter final tie with Turkey. The Dutch are in the easier side of the draw in the tournament so they would not face Spain, Germany, France or Portugal until the final.
The 25-year-old scored 16 goals in all competitions last season in England, and he has taken that former into the European Championship this summer. Gakpo is bidding to become the first Dutch Golden Boot winner at the Euros since Patrick Kluivert in 2000.
Kai Havertz
Arsenal forward Kai Havertz is the furthest player up the field in Julian Nagelsmann’s 4-5-1 formation with Germany. He has found the back of the net twice so far, with goals coming against Scotland and Denmark.
As the hosts, a lot is expected from Germany in this tournament. Their next test will come against Spain in what is arguably the standout game of the Euros so far. Havertz will be bidding to level with the players on three goals in the tournament at the very least.
Kylian Mbappe
It has been a quiet tournament so far for the 2022 World Cup Golden Boot winner Kylian Mbappe. His sole goal came from the penalty spot in a 1-1 draw with Poland in the group stages of the competition.
Mbappe has been forced to wear a mask after breaking his nose in France’s opening game of Euro 2024 against Austria. The Real Madrid player still has plenty of time to make a big impact on this tournament, especially in the knockout stages where he is often at his best for his country.
The final of Euro 2024 takes place on Sunday, 14th of July in Berlin. The Golden Boot winner will be crowned after that game.
