Jennifer Lawrence Time Travels to Photobomb Historical Moments
It seems like every time Jennifer Lawrence does a thing, the whole internet explodes with glee. On Sunday, she photobombed Taylor Swift during an interview with Ryan Seacrest at the 2014 Golden Globes with a scary “I’m gonna eat your hair and poop it out and then make you wear your digested hair as a wig” face. It was, of course, awesome.
So awesome that apparently Ms. Lawrence decided to keep photobombing. Luckily, though, this time she traveled back to pre-internet eras (for the most part) so as not to disturb us too much from looking at lolcats and blogging about Hello Kitty merch.
Okay, fine. She didn’t actually travel through time. These are Photoshopped historical photobombs inspired by her now-famous Golden Globes appearance. But I’m choosing to believe Jennifer Lawrence has a time machine. It’s more fun that way.
Jennifer Lawrence Photobombs Her Way Through History
The original photobomb happened on January 12, 2014, when Lawrence crept up behind Taylor Swift during a Golden Globes red carpet interview with Ryan Seacrest. With her arms out and a ridiculous expression on her face, she looked like some kind of hungry celebrity-eating monster. Which, come to think of it, would make a pretty great horror movie.
Naturally, the internet took one look at that face and decided it belonged everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE. Who needs a perfectly normal historical photograph when you can have Jennifer Lawrence lurking in the background like she’s about to steal someone’s lunch?
And that’s the beauty of these ridiculous Photoshop creations. You take a recognizable moment from history, toss an unsuspecting Jennifer Lawrence into the picture, and suddenly the whole thing goes from historically significant to historically hilarious.
The Photobomb That Apparently Broke the Space-Time Continuum
Even Taylor Swift got a kick out of the original incident. Lawrence later joked that she’d considered sneaking up and pushing Swift down the stairs. Thankfully, she settled for making a terrifying face instead. You know, like a normal person.
But why stop at one celebrity interview when you can crash the entire historical record? At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised to learn Jennifer Lawrence was secretly present for every major event in human civilization. We just never noticed her because she was hiding behind somebody important.
Personally, I’m all for rewriting history to include random Jennifer Lawrence photobombs. History class would have been way more interesting. Although now I’m worried she’s going to pop up in the background of my baby pictures. Please don’t, Jennifer. Those things are embarrassing enough already.
Pure shit…
