Garmin Introduces Descent X10: A Dive Computer Capable of Simulating Dives, Tracking NDL and Automatically Logging Dive Data

Garmin is expanding its underwater technology lineup with a dive computer designed to make diving more informed, accessible and convenient for both beginners and experienced divers. The Descent X10 combines advanced features – such as real-time no-decompression limit (NDL) tracking, dive simulation, automatic log syncing and customizable device settings – while offering up to 50 hours of dive time on a single charge. It also introduces a rental mode for dive operators and incorporates recycled ocean-bound plastics into its housing and bezel, bringing together practical functionality, durability and sustainability.

According to a press release from Garmin, Descent X10 is available now, at a suggested retail price of $349.99.

With an easy-to-read 2.1-inch backlit screen, divers can quickly see their depth, time, oxygen levels and more from their wrist. Whether in the dive pool or the open ocean, divers can choose from multiple dive modes to support their different pursuits, then use the Garmin Dive smartphone app to seamlessly log and track it all. New, colorful bezel guards (sold separately) add customizable style and help divers keep track of their device. What’s more, dive shops and schools can use the new rental mode to easily configure the device to match each diver’s skill level.

“Clear, accessible dive data can make all the difference under water. Descent X10 brings that essential information to the wrist, along with trusted dive features and a durable design, helping divers stay aware and supported from their first class and beyond.”

–Susan Lyman, Garmin Vice President of Consumer Sales and Marketing

Make a Splash

Change the look of Descent X10 from dive to dive with new replaceable bezel guards (sold separately). With a variety of colors to choose from including Amp Yellow, Aqua, Purple Iris and Black, these plastic bezel guards add a pop of personality and an extra layer of protection. Along with the included silicone band that fits over a wetsuit, Descent X10 is compatible with optional QuickFit^® bands that come in a wide variety of colors. Descent X10 also supports the dive environment it’s built for—100% of the housing and bezel are made with recycled ocean-bound plastics.

Descent X10 is also designed to simplify the process of renting dive computers for dive schools, dive shops and charter operators. With rental mode, the computers can be set up to match diver skill levels and quickly reset between uses.
