With these essential SEO tips, you can get your videos to rank on YouTube and Google search. The Cisco network predicts that online video will make up more than 82% of the consumer internet traffic by 2022. There are 16 hours of online video watched by consumers in a week. Video is used by 85% of businesses as a marketing tool. Video has already become an essential channel, so it does not come as a surprise to hear that it will continue to grow. Generally speaking, most competent marketing professionals today understand that we must publish videos as part of our marketing efforts. This means that we need to get over our fear that it will not work. It will take some time and practice before we become proficient at it. There will be some fading out as part of the process. I’m not going to go deeply into it today. Instead, I will show you how to improve the ranking of your videos, both on YouTube and in the search results. This is important because even if you publish the best videos in the world, they won’t be of any use if nobody sees them. Although you can always buy views from some providers to help rank your videos, these tips below will push your videos’ rank even higher.

1. YouTube Keyword Research

Every YouTube SEO campaign begins with keyword research for videos. The step-by-step process for choosing the right keywords for your YouTube videos is as follows: You should start by creating a list of keyword ideas. In order to get started, you need to generate a large list of potential keywords. This post will show you how to find the best keywords for your YouTube videos, one of my favorites is to use YouTube’s Search Suggest feature. YouTube makes it easy to find keywords related to any word or phrase. You just need to type in a word or phrase, and YouTube will automatically provide you with a list of relevant keywords. YouTube keywords are the words people actually type into the search engine. They’re naturally popular, so we don’t need to wonder if they’re popular at all. If that’s not enough, you could go to a popular video in your niche and copy the keywords that are in it.

2. Keyword Optimization

It is one of the most important parts of YouTube SEO. It stands to reason that if you see a video with lots of views, it has been optimized around a popular keyword. In the absence of an objective measurement of quality, it is impossible to rank a page in a direct manner. User engagement plays a significant role in rankings, so it plays an important role in user engagement. It is generally said that the more people that view, like, and comment on a YouTube video, the higher its ranking will be. In order to accomplish this, you should create your videos for the purpose of solving a specific problem for your viewers. A useful piece of knowledge can be shared. How to do something? Show them how to do something. Tell them what’s happening in your industry, or give them an analysis of the company’s current state. Furthermore, it can always help to involve your audience in your video by asking them to subscribe to your channel and to comment, like, and share it. Before we can create videos, we first need to understand what kind of information people are looking for. What is the best way to optimize your video title? Do you know how you always optimize your headline for written content? The same is true for YouTube. You want to include your focus keyword in your video title, and you should also fix a problem in the title.

3. Use Your YouTube Tags Strategically

Tagging is one of the best SEO features provided by YouTube. The use of tags lets you enter relevant keywords that cause your videos to receive more views. Using tags that are relevant to your topic will ensure that the blog will be found. The perfect opportunity to use LSI keywords is to use them in combination with your focused keyword and not too many tags. It is enough to have about 10 to 12.

4. Custom YouTube Thumbnails

Your video thumbnail is seen in the upper right-hand corner of the screen when scrolling through a list of video results. Choosing one of the auto-generated thumbnail options offered by YouTube is always an option. However, you should save time by uploading a custom thumbnail. In its report, YouTube recommends the use of images that are 1280×720 pixels in size — representing a 16:9 ratio — and saved as .jpg, .gif, .bmp, or .png files, 1MB or less in size. Adding those parameters to your thumbnail makes it possible to have it appear with the same high quality across multiple viewing platforms. If you wish to upload a custom thumbnail image to your YouTube channel, you must first verify your YouTube account. In order to verify your account, go to youtube.com/verify and follow the instructions there.

5. YouTube Subtitles and Closed Captions

Subtitles and closed captions help YouTube to optimize its search results by highlighting important keywords. In the same manner, subtitles can be added, though you can limit the amount of text you want to appear. If you want either captioning or subtitles, go to Video Manager and click on “Videos” under “Video Manager.” Select the video you want to add captions or subtitles to and click the drop-down arrow next to the edit button. When you select Subtitles/CC, you can choose whether you would like to include subtitles or closed captioning.
