Wheelchairs have come a long way over the years. The first models were heavy, and hard to maneuver, while current models are lightweight, durable, and easy to steer under most conditions, but they still have some limitations. The Walking Chair, created by design student Martin Harris will eliminate most of those limitations by trading wheels for a set of legs. The legs on this chair are able to walk up slopes, up stairs, and over small obstacles. The capabilities offered by this chair could potentially mean increased mobility for the disabled, making it a truly amazing invention.
