Wait. I mean — the Lytro doesn’t make the photographer himself look good, it makes the photographer’s work not look like shit. “Light field photography captures all the available light in a scene going in every direction and allows a user to adjust the focus of a photograph on a computer after the picture has been taken.” Uhhh, so basically what they’re saying is the camera uses magic to capture light and the souls of your subjects. I wasn’t going to cop to this, but the truth is, I suck at photography. All the pics I take of my cats are blurry, out of focus, with my finger obstructing the lens. Plus, the cameras I’ve used in the past always capture the kitties chewing little holes in the cute costumes I make for them. And THAT is exactly why we can’t have nice things!
