When you dine out, it’s easy to think you’re eating healthy when you’re really not. Plenty of chain restaurants serve salads that easily reach 1,000 calories. So there you are thinking you made a wise decision at lunch, when you really consumed half the days calories by 1pm. Bummer. Of course, there’s a new iPhone app claims that it makes things much, much easier. The app, called MealSnap, says that it can give you the caloric content of your food by merely taking a picture of it. It’s got a database of over 500,000 food items on board, and when you snap a picture of something it recognizes, it’ll give you the nutritional info.
