Most restaurants dim the lights in the evening in order to create a certain atmosphere for their customers. Some restaurants take that atmosphere a little too far, and they turn the lights almost completely off, making it near impossible to read the menu, let alone see what the food looks like. Duo Restaurant and Lounge in New York City has the solution; illuminated menus. Each menu is backlit, making it easy to read even when the lights are turned down low.Hopefully restaurants everywhere will pick up on this trend, or at least learn not to turn the lights so far down.

I saw one of those in a restaurant in Toronto. They were from a company called ILED Menus.
