Designer Meike Harde created this series called Too Beautiful To Be True. It consists of an array of masks to be worn on the face and mouth, contorting them into something that is… not beautiful. More like, mega creepy. It’s meant to call into question the conventional ideals of beauty. Certainly something that should be considered, but you know what? The standard of what’s attractive is constantly changing. Remember when fat used to be in back in like the 1600s? Or when being pasty white was desirable? What I’m trying to say is I was obviously born in the wrong century.
