It’s safe to say that true art lovers appreciate mediums and genres of many kinds. And while you can own dozens of books that celebrate art throughout the ages, a modern authority’s library should also honor young contemporary artists and designers in a newer medium—retro 3D. The 3D Art Book is the work of Tristan Eaton. The artist, designer, and vinyl toy impresario has been obsessed with the nostalgic look of 3D imagery. In his new book, he parlays this fascination into a carefully curated selection of over 100 works by established and up-and-coming artists, expertly rendered as 3D images which can be viewed with red and blue glasses (included in the book). Covering illustration, designer toy, street art, Pop Surrealist, graffiti and graphic design, each image is presented in a double-page spread, and comes jumping out at readers when viewed with the glasses.
