In our fast-paced, high-tech world multi-tasking is a must and any single purpose object is pretty much worthless. That’s why no one sits in rocking chairs while knitting anymore. These days most people have got waaaaaaay too many texts to send for that. But luckily some designers made it possible to rock and knit while you text, read, or play games. Damien Ludi and Colin Peillex created the Rocking-Knit Chair for the University of Art and Design’s Low-Tech Factory design exhibition. As you rock in the chair it automatically knits, leaving your hands free for playing Edward Fortyhands or whatever kids do these days.
