Artist Zhang Xiangxi takes those big old clunky CRT televisions and turns them into intricate little rooms. Some of them are modeled after places that exist IRL like his old dorm room and his parent’s sitting room, others are conceptual like the one he’s fashioned after his own dream house. All the pieces are super amazing and better than a lot of the trash that airs on actual TV. Would I rather spend 30 minutes looking at one of Zhang’s TVs than watch an episode of Bravo’s Real Housewives? That… kind of depends on which franchise we’re talking about. Beverly Hills? Okay, that’s a tough call. Those bishes be having some crayzay drama 25/8! What? I can’t help it, I’m a product of our defunt society!
