Every company wants you to use their product or service, and they’re willing to hide the less-desirable qualities of their product or service in order to get you to use it. Company logos are designed with those principals in mind – they want to entice you to trust the company and use their products or services. Fortunately, artist Viktor Hertz has seen through the marketing, and redesigned several logos to reflect the true nature of the company. McDonald’s? More like McDiabetes! Each logo takes a humorous look at the company’s downside. While I appreciate Hertz’s work, it probably won’t change my habits – just because I know Facebook is just another means of procrastination, that doesn’t mean I plan to stop using it all day long.
