Our society produces a ridiculous amount of waste, so it’s always refreshing to come across creative folks who re-purpose old stuff. Why not turn an old sweater into a tote bag, an old bike tire into a wallet, or an old stove into an entertainment center? Wait, what? Not the typical re-purposing project, Cross Culture by Tyler Held is a stove that’s been souped up with audio equipment and a touchscreen CD/DVD player. While it still looks pretty much like an ordinary stove (for the most part) speakers now take the place of burners and the oven opens up to reveal a sub woofer lit by neon lights. Now if I could just grill a steak with an old Xbox, I’d be set.
