Bananas go great in cereal, smoothies, desserts, but did you know that they also make great sketchbooks? Yep, bananas are pretty versatile—not just as food, but as an art supply. Japanese artist Keisuke Yamada uses a toothpick to carve intricate sculptures out of bananas. He uses the shape of the banana to guide the design, creating everything from dragons to goofy people with big hair. Yamada makes each piece in about 30 minutes before the fruit starts to brown, at which point he enjoys eating his work.
