In an effort to support the Tastykake company (and obesity), Philly chef Matt Levin has added a very strange new dish to his restaurant’s menu. Fans of the Tasty Baking Company’s Peanut Butter Kandy Kake have probably never tried this sweet treat wrapped around brisket patties topped with cherry-sriracha jam and American cheese—but for $11 two of these heart-attack inducing sliders can be yours. While it’s great to see one Philadelphia business supporting another, they’re not doing anything to help lower the city’s ranking as one of the fattest cities in America. (According to Men’s Health, Philadelphia comes in 15th place.) And to think, all this time we were blaming the cheese steaks.
