Ever wonder what happens when you leave an old unused cargo ship laying around for several decades? Apparently it becomes a floating forest. The SS Ayrfield, a steam collier that served as a transport ship during WWII is now home to trees and other flora. This bizarre, yet beautiful ship can be seen at Homebush Bay in Sydney, Australia where it attracts photographers. It was originally sent to the bay to be dismantled, but it seems that the workers never got around to it and well, time makes fools of us all!

Beautiful! I’m giving a nod to this article (and the ship) in my latest blog entry. Feel free to come take a look!
