Researchers from University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science and The University Of New England captured a 12.5 foot tiger shark and discovered it was pregnant! So naturally they gave her an ultrasound resulting in the first-ever tiger shark sonogram. This is a video of that. Pretty interesting! I never would have thought to give a shark an ultrasound. When I see a shark I’m usually too busy screaming “SHARK! SHAAAARRRRRK!” to think about stuff like that.
