What possible connection could there be between jelly and music? (That is, other than Beyonce shaking her jelly at every chance.) Noisy Jelly by French designers Raphaël Pluvinage and Marianne Cauvard, lets you make all kinds of sounds just by touching pieces of gelatin. The board uses a capacitive sensor and the variations in shapes and salt concentration in the gelatin affect the sounds. Hopefully the concept will become a real toy at some point, who wouldn’t want one? If poking JELL-O and making weird noises doesn’t sound like a great way to spend a Friday night, I don’t know what does.
