Usually trees sway off during the strong storms or hurricanes. But have you ever wonder why mostly the Palm trees stay standing in storms or in heavy hurricanes? Well the researcher and geochemist Hope Jahren wrote in her autobiography “Lab Girl” that palm trees are not made of wood. “Instead, you’ll find a jumble of spongy tissue, scattered instead of arranged” inside a palm.
