The Self Defense Night Stand is designed so that you can simply roll over and grab the base of the stand that doubles as a baseball bat, or club, and grab the flat surface of the stand that doubles as a shield. I’m not sure how practical this stand would be against an armed attacker unless you have some sick medieval fighting skills, but it’s still an awesome piece to have, even if only to impress your partner and entertain the kids.
