The Grand Velas Los Cabos hotel in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico is serving up the world’s most expensive taco. It was created by Executive Chef Juan Licerio Alcala and costs a whopping $25,000. What makes it so expensive? I thought you’d never ask. The lux taco (two words I thought I would never type together) is filled with langoustine, kobe beef, black truffle brie cheese, and Almas Beluga caviar, and is wrapped in a 24-karat gold flake-infused tortilla. Isn’t half the appeal of a taco is that it’s so cheap? The other half being that it’s delicious, of course, but being cheap is important when it comes to tacos. Trust me, I’m kind of a taco expert! I live for Taco Tuesday. And Thaco Thurthday. Basically every day can be a Taco day if you rearrange the letters a little bit. Science!
