This year Incredible Things was invited to attend Cat Art Show: The Sequel, the second ever show featuring all cat-inspired works of art. And of course we said yes. Okay, to be honest, I personally screamed at my laptop “IS THIS A TRICK QUESTION? CAN I SAY YES?!” but then very calmly responded to the email because I am a professional and also, everyone at the office was staring at me.
On opening night we hit up the Cat Art Show: The Sequel at Think Tank Gallery in downtown Los Angeles. The whole kitten and caboodle was put together by Susan Michals, the same kitty enthusiast and mastermind behind the OG Cat Art Show and the world’s first ever cat convention, CatConLA. So we knew we were in for a real treat.
Over 70 famous artists participated in the feline-centric event including Mark Ryden, Kat Von D, Rich Hardcastle, Norman Reedus, Walter Chandoha, Brandon Boyd of Incubus, Marion Peck, Brandi Milne, Luke Chueh, and Natalia Fabia.
You might even spot other familiar faces in attendance! Out of the hoards (litters?!) of folks who came to check out the show, we saw Pudge’s mom, Seth Green, many of the artists themselves, and more! Rubbing elbows with famous cat lovers? Me-ow!
For those who want to take home a souvenir, the show is offering limited editions and original artwork for sale with a portion of the proceeds going to Kitten Rescue. Getting a souv and contributing to a good cause? That is what one might call a win-win.
What are you waiting for? Cat Art Show: The Sequel is taking place March 24-27 at Think Tank Gallery in Downtown Los Angeles. Go go go go go!
